At the beginning of the 14th century, the transition from the Middle Ages to the Modern Age, Dante Alighieri wrote his "Commedia" as the sum of his poetic work in the Italian vernacular, which had just become literary, an innovative, even daring artistic journey into the afterlife realms of "Inferno"; ("Hell"), "Purgatorio"; ("Purgatory") and "Paradiso"; ("Paradise"), all of which were permeated by medieval divine order.
