"Giclée Print Ink. 1843"

Description

One of 60 prints

As part of his library project, since 2007 artist Hannes Möller has been collecting photographic impressions of extraordinary and particularly characteristic books in libraries and archives both in Germany and beyond, subsequently transforming them into gouache and watercolour works on paper in his studio. On a visit to the Gutenberg Museum archives in 2011 Möller came across this motif which is now available as a giclée print. Giclée is an elaborate digital printing process in which up to twelve fade-resistant pigment inks are used.
